After a second burial with full military honours, he was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross, and is still the youngest Briton ever to receive this honour. His fame launched many commemoratives, many of which are illustrated, and his tradition continues to the present time. In September 2006, Jack Cornwell received the rare accolade of being featured on a British Postage Stamp. |
