"I would certainly recommend this excellent children's book by author Hollie Day. I recently purchased a copy for my Grandson Ryan and decided to check out a chapter for myself. Within a few pages I was drawn into the plot and the humour of it's excellent little pig characters and just had to read the whole book. Its captivating story line and wonderously amusing descriptions will keep any youngster spellbound for many hours and my grandson could not put it down until he had read it all. He told me afterwards that he just loved Big 'H', La'Wiggy and the mad Twiglet who had an insatiable appetite for Bovril and also the Magic Tree and its mystical and mysterious inhabitants. Truly a great read to srtike at the imagination of any child!"

"I bought a copy of Pig Tails for my 2 kids, aged 7 and 9, and so far it’s been read about 6 or 7 times! My youngest isn’t as strong a reader as her brother, so I started reading it to her at bedtimes – I was immediately hooked! I think I enjoyed it as much as the children, which is great because having that shared interest really helps in encouraging your kids to get into books.
It’s a great story; funny, charming, lots of detail and a brilliant, magical, mysterious plot. The characters are fabulous - you really feel their personalities coming through in the text. It’s got an edge of scariness to it, but not so much that makes it too scary for younger readers. My kids can’t wait till the next one – and neither can I!!!"
